Paris is always a good idea, and for a family weekend, it’s an absolute dream. We
hopped on the Eurostar and were whisked away to the City of Light for a whirlwind
trip packed with laughter, magic, and memories to last a lifetime.

Exploring Montmartre & Leaving Our Mark
Our adventure began in Montmartre, the charming, bohemian neighborhood that
feels like a step back in time. We wandered its cobbled streets, admired the artists at
work in the square, and climbed up to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, where the
panoramic views of Paris are nothing short of breathtaking.
Before we left, we added our own little piece of family history by leaving a padlock on
one of the bridges—a tradition that feels so quintessentially Parisian. The kids loved
the idea of "locking in" our love, and it was a sweet moment we won’t forget.

Magic at Le Double Fond
A true highlight of the trip was the magic show at Le Double Fond, a cozy and
intimate magic café that’s perfect for families. The show is entirely in French, but
trust me—it doesn’t matter. The illusions are captivating, and Tess even got called
up on stage! Her giggles (and a bit of wide-eyed amazement) were priceless. Pro tip:
book your tickets in advance, as this little gem fills up quickly.
Parisian Icons and Unforgettable Moments
No trip to Paris would be complete without a visit to its most famous landmarks. We
made sure to:
Book tickets in advance for the Louvre: Skipping the long lines was a
lifesaver, and seeing the Mona Lisa was a special treat for all of us.
Ride The Roue de Paris, the big wheel near the Louvre: The views of the
Eiffel Tower and the Seine were magical from above.
See the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night: We timed our visit perfectly to watch
the iconic lights twinkle—pure magic for the whole family. Best spot to view is
from Place du Trocadero.
We also took a classic open-top bus tour with Toot Toot, which was an absolute hit
with the kids. The river cruise on the Seine was equally exciting and gave us a fresh
perspective on Paris’s stunning architecture.

Crepes and the Metro
Paris is a city where food is part of the adventure, and we embraced it fully. From
street-side vendors to charming cafes, we ate crepes everywhere—sweet, savory,
and everything in between. They became our go-to snack, and we savored every
bite.
Getting around was a breeze with a weekend pass for the metro. It’s fast, efficient,
and makes exploring the city so much easier (and more fun for train-loving little
ones).
The Galeries Lafayette & Its Splendid Coupole
A visit to The Galeries Lafayette wasn’t just about shopping—it was about the sheer
beauty of its architecture. The stunning glass Coupole left us in awe, and it was a
peaceful moment to soak in the elegance of Paris. It’s a must-see for visitors of all
ages.

Why Paris is Perfect for a Family Weekend
Paris has something for everyone, and for our family, it was a weekend filled with
unforgettable experiences. From magic shows and sparkling landmarks to crepes
and cozy metro rides, every moment was a mix of fun, wonder, and joy.
If you’re planning a family trip, don’t hesitate to make Paris your destination. Hop on
the Eurostar, pack your curiosity, and get ready to fall in love with the City of
Light—together.
